SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) is the leading independent provider of accredited Psychology, Counselling, Human Resource Management, Business Management and Social Work qualifications, with all courses grounded in psychology. We have campuses in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Online.

SACAP is looking for a PGCE Coordinator for our Cape Town campus; for the Applied Psychology Faculty. The PGCE Coordinator (Postgraduate Certificate in Education [PGCE]) is a full-time position for all relevant campuses at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP).

This role will be responsible for the programme coordination and management of the Professional PGCE programme, including teaching and supervision of work-integrated learning (WIL) components of the programme in the Applied Psychology Faculty at an institutional level.

In addition to managing and supporting students through the PGCE academic and WIL programme, the Programme Coordinator should be familiar with all new developments within the discipline of education and their application to SACAP’s PGCE programme.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
:

  • A Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
  • A minimum of 3 years registration with the SACE is essential.
  • Preferably 2 years working experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proficiency in programme coordination and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

OPERATING HOURS:

  This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays*:

  Monday to Thursday:      08:30am to 17:00pm

  Friday:                           08:30am to 16:00pm

*Due to the nature of this role, there will be a need to work flexible hours to the extent to which it is reasonably necessary to perform the duties of the position.
